Material Focus, a UK not-for-profit organisation, has launched the £1 million Circular Electricals Fund to support projects that reduce electronic waste by keeping electricals and their materials in use for longer. Grants of up to £150,000 are available for UK-based organisations—including charities, schools, non-profits, private companies, compliance schemes, universities, and research institutions—developing scalable solutions in areas such as advanced materials recovery, sustainable product design, and circular business models like leasing or product-as-a-service. Successful applicants will also receive industry networking opportunities, communications support, and access to the latest data and research trends. The fund aims to address the UK’s growing e-waste problem, where over 100,000 tonnes of electricals are discarded annually, often containing valuable materials like copper and lithium. Applications are open until 14 August 2025 via the Material Focus website.
