UK Government: Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure pilot scheme – 17 June 2022

Local authorities and partnerships in England are invited to apply for a share of £10 million in funding for innovative projects that support the transition to Electric Vehicle (EV) use.

Between three and eight electric vehicle charging infrastructure projects are expected to be supported, with a particular focus on provision for those without off-street parking.

The funding, which is made available through the Government’s Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure pilot scheme, could be used to cover costs such as charging units, gullies, solar canopies or battery storage, connection costs, smart charging, vehicle to grid technology costs, civil engineering works, and labour costs.

Applicants should submit an expression of interest in the first instance. The deadline for full applications is 11:55pm on the 17 June 2022.
