Secondary and primary schools in England will soon be able to apply for grants of up to £5,000 for projects that embed sustainable youth social action at schools.
The funding which is made through the Ormiston Trust’s WeWill Social Action Grant Fund is based on the idea that young people can and should be at the centre of meaningful change and at the heart of social impact within their communities at large.
There are four main funding areas within the programme:
- Environment and Climate Justice
- Wellbeing and Mental Health
- Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion
- Community-based Issues.
The funding will last for one year. Successful applicants must commit to using the Ormiston Trust’s social action toolkit filled with resources, curriculum guides, and templates within the span of the programme.
The grant goes live on the 18 March 2022. The deadline for expressions of interest for funding has been extended from the 22 April to the 27 April 2022 at 5 pm.
