Marine conservation charities are invited to apply for funding for projects which help to protect the ocean and enhance marine biodiversity.
The ScottishPower Foundation Marine Biodiversity Fund will finance one multi-year project that contributes to the protection and enhancement of the marine/coastal environment, prevents negative impacts, and enables repair and renewal, including the safeguarding of marine species.
Projects must take place in the UK and its territorial waters and should incorporate an educational outreach element to engage with the local community and/or wider society. It is anticipated the successful project will receive funding of £200,000 per annum for a period of up to three years.
Projects delivered by multiple partners will be eligible to apply – provided partners are also based in the UK.
The fund will be open to applications from the end of March 2021 for a period of 5 weeks.
