Funding to Promote Young People’s Engagement with Care Homes (England)

My Home Life England and the Linking Network are delivering a national initiative to promote young people’s engagement with care homes.

The Care Home Friends and Neighbours: Intergenerational Linking Project will link together young people aged 5- 14 years in schools or youth groups from deprived areas with older people living in care homes across England. Charities, local authorities and not for profit organisations can apply for funding of up to £31,000 for activities which could include:

  • creating artwork,
  • doing horticultural and agricultural activities,
  • sharing life stories and experiences,
  • developing life skills
  • spending time socialising.

The project is funded through the #iwill Fund and managed by the Dunhill Medical Trust and expressions of interest should be submitted by 5pm on the 13th November 2020.
