Grants to Promote Participation in Canoeing – 31st August 2019 (UK)

The Canoe Foundation is a grant making trust that aims to ‘positively change lives through canoeing’. The Foundation now focuses on projects aimed at promoting participation for youth and disability. However, projects funded have also included expeditions, strategic riverbank purchase, and supporting the heritage of canoeing.

For the years 2018/19 the Foundation (‘CF’) is focusing on smaller tactical level projects, these can be new facilities or repairs to existing installations that have deteriorated over time or by an “act of god”. Grants are not likely to be awarded for routine maintenance and larger projects will be considered on a case by case basis.

Grants of £2,000 to £20,000 are available.

Not-for-profit organisations, charities, clubs, schools and other interest groups based in the UK, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands who work with young people and/or people with disabilities can apply.

Examples of Projects Funded can be found on the website.

The next application deadline is the 31st August 2019.
