Grants for Projects Tackling Health Issues Amongst Vulnerable People (UK)

Registered and exempted Charities will be able to apply for a grant of up to £1,000 to help them to deliver projects tackling health issues (but not medical research). Those with an operating income of at least £100,000 and no more than £1,000,000 can apply until 28th February 2018 for up to £1,000; organisations with incomes over £1,000,000 can apply between 1st and 30th April for up to £5,000.

To apply for this grant round the project must relate to Health (excluding medical research); priority is given to projects focussing on:

  • Homelessness
  • Domestic abuse
  • Prisoners/offenders
  • Training and education
  • Counselling and support
  • Better access to the arts for those who have limited opportunities
  • Refugees and asylum seekers

Previous projects supported include:

  • A grant of £1,000 to Home from Hospital care towards publicity of the organisation’s services to ethnic minorities.
  • The Motor Neurone Disease Association which received a grant of £1,000 towards ‘Your Personal Guide to MND’.
