Grants of up to £30,000 to Help Early Stage Charities and Social Enterprises Grow (UK)

The Fore Trust has announced that its next round of funding will open for applications on the 3rd April 2018. The Fore Trust is the only open-access funder in the UK offering development funding and strategic support to help early-stage charities and social enterprises to grow and expand.

The Fore will fund any UK registered charity, social enterprise or community interest company that is small (annual income less than £1m) and charitable.

To apply for grants of up to £30,000, organisations must register at the start of each funding round. As numbers for each round are capped and applicants are selected on a on a first-come, first-serve basis, early registration is recommended. On successful registration, applicants are sent further details of the application process.

The closing date for applications will be the 30th April 2018.

Organisations supported in the past include:

  • Empire Fighting Chance; a Bristol-based charity that engages at-risk young people through non-contact boxing, underpinned by tailored support focused on education, well-being and employability. Funding from The Fore will enable Empire Fighting Chance to take its first step toward scaling by expanding into a second site, in neighbouring South Wales.
  • FareShare North East; which works across the North East of England to reduce food waste and fight hunger received funding from the Fore that will allow it to double its reach within two years to deliver 600 tonnes of surplus food to 160 community organisations a year.
