The Department for International Trade (DIT) and the BPI, the UK record label association, have awarded £2.4 million to 12 UK music acts through the Music Export Growth Scheme.
The scheme supports small and medium-sized independent record labels and music management companies to introduce UK music overseas. Grants of between £5,000 and £50,000 are available to assist with marketing campaigns. To be eligible to apply, applicants must have annual turnover of €50m or less and no more than 249 employees.
Applications must include detailed campaign proposals showing how the grant would be invested in effective marketing and other promotional activity oversees.
The scheme is currently closed but is due to re-open for applications on the 8th January 2018.
