The Institute of Physics (IOP) has announced that the next deadline for applications to its Teacher Training Scholarships is mid night on the 6th November 2017.
The IOP offers teacher training scholarships, worth £28,000 (tax free) for people in England who would like to train to teach physics or physics with math’s. Scholarships also include a package of benefits such as Institute membership and early career mentoring. 150 scholarships are available each year.
To apply applicants will need to:
- Have a physics or related degree (such as engineering or mathematics) with a proven or predicted grade of at least 2.1
- Or hold a relevant PhD or master’s degree or recognised equivalent
- Or have completed a Subject Knowledge Enhancement course in physics.
By September 2017 secure your training place on a non-salaried university-led or school-led physics or physics with maths course in England for the 2017/18 academic year. If an applicant has a 2.2 degree, the IOP will consider the application if he/she can show significant physics-related experience and knowledge.
