The Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy has announced that Phase 6 of the Energy Entrepreneurs Fund is now open for applications.
This is a competitive funding scheme to support technologies, products and processes in the areas of energy efficiency, power generation, and heat and electricity storage. The Energy Entrepreneurs Fund seeks to support the best ideas from the public and private sector. The scheme particularly aims to assist small and medium-sized enterprises, including start-ups, and those companies that are selected will receive additional funding for incubation support. A total of £10 million is available for projects and the maximum grant that applicants can apply for is £725,000. Applicants will need to provide match funding of at least 10%.
Expressions of interest are required by 1pm on the 17th November 2017. The deadline for applications is 1pm on the 1st December 2017.
