Young people in the UK aged 16-24 have until the 30th October 2017 to apply for grants of up to £5,000 to start and run social ventures that unlock the potential of unused or under-utilised spaces for the benefit of the local community; especially other young people.
The awards include the support of:
- A dedicated award manager
- Cohort support
- Peer to peer networking opportunities for sharing knowledge and learning.
There will also be the opportunity to crowd fund the project alongside the award with support from Spacehive to enable the applicant to demonstrate tangible support from the local community for their idea, learn valuable skills, and increase the chances of sustainability of the social venture. Individuals or groups of up to four young people aged 16-24 living in the UK with an idea for a community space focussed social venture are encouraged to apply.
