The Arts Council England has announced that its Arts Funding for Libraries programme is currently open for applications.
Through the programme public libraries and organisations / local authorities managing public libraries can apply for grants of between £1,000 and £100,000 for projects that stimulate ambitious and innovative partnerships between libraries and artists and/or arts organisations to encourage library users and those living locally to take part in artistic and cultural activities. One project funded is Cityread London, a campaign to bring reading to life for audiences throughout the capital led by Stellar Libraries. The project was awarded £86,000.
This is a rolling programme and applications can be made at any time until the 31st March 2018.
