The Land Rover Bursary Scheme Opens for Applications – 30th November 2017 (UK)

The Royal Geographic Society has announced that the deadline for applications to the Land Rover Bursary scheme is the 30th November 2017.

The Land Rover Bursary, run by the Royal Geographical Society on behalf of Jaguar Land Rover, provides funding of up to £30,000 (a bursary of £15,000 and a discretionary fund to cover essential expedition costs up to an additional £15,000) and the loan of a Land Rover vehicle to help the successful participants undertake an expedition with a geographical purpose. The scheme is open to Teams of 2 – 4 members aged over 18 years planning to undertake a challenging expedition in the UK or overseas for which a Land Rover is an integral part of the expedition.

Last year’s winning team, the ‘Transcaucasian Expedition’, spent six months helping to explore and map the first long-distance hiking trail across the Lesser Caucasus mountain range of Georgia and Armenia.
