Funding for the Provision, Maintenance and Improvement of Public Amenities – August 2017 (England and Wales)

WREN, a Land fill operator and Environmental Body has announced that its Community Fund has re-opened for applications.

The Community Fund makes grants of between £2,000 and £50,000 for the provision, maintenance or improvement of a public amenities in the vicinity of a landfill site. This could include:

  • Improvements to a village hall or community centre
  • The provision of children’s play equipment in public open space
  • Construction of footpaths and cycleways in a public park
  • Providing all-weather play surface for MUGA (multi use games area); etc.

Applications are accepted for projects within 10 miles of a FCC Environment landfill site in WREN’s operating area. The fund is open to applications from not for profit organisations (with a formal constitution and a bank account) and Local Authorities.

The closing date for applications is 5pm on the 23rd August 2017.
