Registered charities can apply for funding to the Masonic Charitable Foundation’s “Community Support Grants Scheme”.
Funding is available for projects to:
- Tackle financial hardship
- Improve the lives of those affected by poor physical and/or mental health
- Provide educational and employment opportunities for disadvantaged young people
- Tackle social exclusion.
Charities can apply for large grants of £5,000 and above or for small grants of between £500 – £5,000.
The closing date for applications to the small grants programme is the 21st April 2017.
The closing date for the large grants programme is the 28th April 2017.
A Large Grant Enquiry Form must be submitted prior to completing a formal application for a Large Grant. The Enquiry Form must be submitted at least two weeks prior to the Large Grant Application deadline.
Previously supported projects include:
A grant of £5,000 to the Wheels Project which works with underachieving and socially excluded young people, giving them the chance to learn how to repair and maintain motor vehicles.
A grant of £5,000 to the 3H Fund which works to provide disabled people and their carers a much needed respite break by organising and funding holidays.
