The European Commission has announced that Higher Education Institutions (HEI) in the UK can apply to obtain the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE).
Obtaining the ECHE will allow universities and other Higher Education organisations to participate in Erasmus+. Erasmus+ is the European Union programme for education, training, youth and sport. It runs for seven years, from 2014 to 2020, with organisations invited to apply for funding each year to undertake creative and worthwhile activities across Europe. All types of HEI can apply for the ECHE, regardless of academic disciplines and the levels of higher education on offer (up to and including doctorates). This includes post-secondary level vocational education institutions and those offering courses at foundation/HND level or above.
The deadline for submissions is 11am (UK time) on 31st March 2017.
