The Heritage Lottery Fund has teamed up with the online giving platform “Crowdfunder” to provide an additional £125,000 for heritage projects.
Not for profit organisations that are looking to raise up to £40,000 for heritage projects taking place in Scotland, the North West or the South West of England could get up to 25% of additional funding for their projects. Projects could include:
- The collections of objects, books or documents in museums, libraries or archives
- Cultural traditions such as stories, festivals, crafts, music, dance and costumes
- Historic buildings
- Histories of people and communities.
To be eligible projects must enable people to learn about heritage, develop their skills, change their attitudes/behaviours or volunteer time. Projects must have inspired the community to pledge and be supported by at least five unique backers. Projects must be run by not-for-profit organisations with a formal governing document (constitution).
