The Inland Waterways association (IWA) are inviting applications from organisations who are working to improve or maintain the inland Waterways.
Tony Harrison who had a lifelong interest in inland waterways and was a member of the IWA for over fifty years has bequeathed a total of £200,000 to the association. The IWA hopes that applications for this funding will reflect the wide range of interests held by Tony Harrison such as restoration, engineering standards, boating, hydraulics and economics. Awards can be for any amount up to £200,000 and the only criteria is that projects should do the maximum amount of good for inland waterways.
The closing date for applications is the 31st of October 2016.
