Due to the Government’s announcement in November 2015 reduce the level of the Landfill Communities Fund by £20 million, along with the reduction in landfill tonnages, the WREN Board have decided that they can support separate programmes for biodiversity and heritage with immediate effect. The WREN Board still wish to support UK biodiversity and heritage however this will be done through a single Landfill Communities Fund programme, which will encompass all WREN funding themes, details of which will be announced in due course. Heritage Fund and Biodiversity projects funded in previous rounds will continue to be funded through to completion. The FCC Community Action Fund is still open for applications.
The next application deadlines are 5pm on the 8th June 2016 and 5pm on the 28th September 2016.
