The Eurostars Programme, which supports research in small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), will re-open for applications in early June 2016.
Through Eurostars, funding is available to SMEs to undertake research and development in any technological area, but must have a civilian purpose and be aimed at the development of a new product, process or service. Eurostars is a transnational programme, where projects have partners from two or more Eurostars countries. The maximum grant available is €360,000 towards project costs of no more than €600,000. The Technology Strategy Board will fund up to 60% of eligible costs. SMEs must have been registered as a UK company for 12 months, have PAYE staff and been trading for 12 months prior to application. All costs must be incurred in the UK and all work must be carried out in the UK.
