EU Environmental Programme Announces Indicative Funding Timetable for the 2016 (UK)

In anticipation of a new call for proposals being launched in May 2016, the European Commission has published and indicative planning timetable for its LIFE programme.

LIFE is the European Commission’s programme for the Environment and Climate change and has a funding budget of €3.4 billion between 2014-20. Applications can be submitted by transnational partnerships consisting of public bodies, commercial and non-commercial organisations.

The LIFE programme consists of two distinct sub-programmes:

  • “Environment”
  • “Climate Action”.

Within each sub-programme applications will be invited according two separate funding streams. These relate to:

  • Traditional projects; Preparatory projects
  • Technical Assistance projects
  • Integrated projects.

There will be no Preparatory project call under the Climate sub-programme for 2016. Applicants will have approximately months to submit applications.
