Sports clubs, associations and schools can apply to the Lord’s Taverners for funding to assist with the purchase of manual sports wheel chairs for young people aged between 8 and 25.

The Lord's Taverners have initiated this scheme to help young disabled people participate in and enjoy wheelchair sport.

The funding which is being made available through the Sports Wheelchairs Sponsorship Scheme will award grants of up to 50% of the cost of the wheelchair with a maximum grant of £1,500. The Lord’s Taverners also have a multi-sports wheelchair scheme which enables applicants to obtain a standard chair at a subsidised cost of £350.
