The society aims to provide relief of hardship for residents of Sefton.

Area: Sefton

Annual Income: £22,000

Grant Range: No fixed maximum of minimum but grants are made towards clothing, beds, bedding, washing machines, gas and electric cookers, carpets, furnishings, pots, pans, crockery etc.

Purpose: Southport & Birkdale Provident Society To relieve either generally or individually residents of the District of Sefton who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress.

Who Can Apply: Individuals in need. Each applicant is judged on the needs of the applicant as defined in the Objects. There are no fixed limitations.

Restrictions: No donations are made to general funds for organisations in Sefton. Grants are not made for education or development courses or for on-going expenses.

How To Apply: By letter. Applications from individuals should come via Social Services for verification of need and to check that all statutory funds available have been explored.

When To Apply: Anytime.
