All over the UK, valuable and useful goods are going to waste because companies don't have either the time or the contacts to make better use of them. The charity In Kind Direct provides the perfect solution. It distributes surplus goods from industry to voluntary organisations throughout the UK working at home and abroad.

The mainly new goods are surplus because they are samples, seconds, ends of lines and slow moving items or have faulty packaging. They're just the kinds of things charities and the people they serve need every day. So, instead of much-needed supplies and equipment occupying valuable storage space or even worse, going to landfill, they can go to a huge range of deserving causes. Member chatities can choose goods online and pay a handling fee of between 10 and 15 per cent to receive them. The products may be used in the running of the charity or distributed to its beneficiaries.

Area: UK

Grant Range: No grants – support given ‘in-kind’ in the form of surplus equipment, furniture and other goods.
