This trust was established in 1993 for general charitable purposes and has a prference for Merseyside based projects.

Beneficial Area         Worldwide, but mostly UK, especially Merseyside

Total Annual Budget          £ 68,000

Purpose             Social welfare, medical, children, children with disabilities and the arts.

The policy of the trustees since the creation of the trust has been to make donations to the following classes of charitable objects:

  • to relieve poverty, with particular reference to housing needs and the needs of old age and people in failing health
  • to contribute towards medical research
  • to benefit children in need, with special reference to handicapped children and their education, and children in under developed countries
  • to support the maintenance and development of the arts, particularly music, the performing arts, museums and art galleries.

Past beneficiaries have  included;

  • Yvonne Arnaud Theatre Management Ltd (£7,500)
  • Includid Charity Trust (£2,000)
  • MIND (£1,000) 
  • Sight Saver International (£1,000) 
  • Swan Women's Centre (£1,000)  
  • Hike for Hope (£500).

Some causes have been supported regularly, for example, Cancer Research and the Wigmore Hall.

Who Can Apply        Grants are usually made to registered charities and can be for a wide range of national and international appeals.

Exclusions                 No grants are given to individuals.

How To Apply           In writing to the correspondent.

When to Apply         The trustees meet to consider grants in November.
